Restoration of Ray's Films
The
following films have been restored at the The Academy of Motion Picture
Arts and Sciences Archives (AMPASA) in Beverly Hills, initiated through
our efforts:

- Aparajito (The Unvanquished)
- Apur Sansar (The World of Apu)
- Jalsaghar (The Music Room)
- Devi (The Goddess)
- Mahanagar (Big City)
- Charulata (The Lonely Wife)
- Janaaranya (The Middleman)
- Teen Kanya (Two Daughters)
- Seemabaddha (Company Limited)
- Abhijan (The Expedition)
- Paraspathar (The Philosopher's Stone)
- Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (The Adventures of Goopy and Bagha)
- Nayak (The Hero)
- Two
- Kapurush O Mahapurush (The Coward and the Holy Man)
At present work is in progress on the following films at the AMPASA:
- Monihara (The Second Daughter of the Three Daughters)
- Joi Baba Felunath
Mr. Bruce Davis, Executive Director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, announced on May 19, 2001 the Academy's commitment to funding the restoration costs of the remaining Ray films. We will keep you updated on the progress of our restoration project.
